Short-term study abroad programs typically range between one and six weeks in duration.
Depending on the program, you may participate in tours and cultural experiences, various classes at partner institutes, service learning opportunities, internships, and more.
This year, we’ll travel to exciting destinations like Korea, Singapore, Australia, Cuba, Peru, South Africa and more.

Semester exchanges
Want to travel for a while longer? Choose to take pre-determined courses through one of our partner institutions over a full-semester term. Courses align with your SAIT program and upon successful completion, you’ll gain academic credit towards your program.
Current semester exchange opportunities are open to Bachelor of Business Administration degree students to Belgium and Switzerland. Stay tuned for new semester exchange opportunities in the 2025/2026 academic year.
Deadlines to apply for a semester exchange are:
- Winter 2026: Applications for winter 2026 are now closed
- Fall 2026: Application deadline is March 15, 2026

International practicum and internship opportunities
Want to take your skills global? IAESTE connects SAIT students in STEM and technical programs with paid international internships in more than 100 countries. Internships vary in length, are primarily in English, and come with visa and housing support — making it easy to gain real-world experience abroad while earning a paycheque.
